Same-Day CrownsIn Peoria, AZ
A cracked or damaged tooth can throw off your whole week, but it doesn't have to keep you waiting. Instead of a temporary crown and a 2 to 4 week wait, we can restore your tooth in a single visit. Same-day crowns give you a fast, comfortable, and long-lasting fix so you can leave our office with your smile already back to normal.

Why should I get a same-day crown?
If a tooth is cracked, broken, or worn down, a same-day crown made with CEREC technology can fully rebuild it in under two hours. Each crown is milled from durable, tooth-colored ceramic, so it looks natural and holds up to everyday biting and chewing. Because we design, mill, and place the crown all in one appointment, there's no temporary crown to manage and no second visit to schedule. It's a faster path to a tooth that looks, feels, and functions like your own.

The Same-Day Crown Treatment Process
Digital Scanning & Design
After a thorough exam, Dr. Woodruff uses a 3D intraoral scanner to capture precise images of your tooth. Those images become a digital model used to design your crown right there in the office.
Fit Check & Fine-Tuning
Once your crown is milled, Dr. Woodruff checks how it fits, sits, and feels against your bite. Any minor adjustments happen immediately, so the final crown feels completely natural.
Bonding & Final Polish
With the fit confirmed, your crown is bonded securely in place using a strong dental adhesive. A final polish and bite check ensure everything feels right before you head home with a fully restored tooth.

Same-day crowns are a great solution for teeth that are cracked, chipped, worn down, or weakened by a large cavity or old filling. They're also commonly used after a root canal to protect and strengthen the tooth, or simply to restore a tooth's shape, size, and function when it's been damaged by decay or injury.
If you're dealing with tooth pain, sensitivity, a visible crack, or a filling that's broken down, it's worth having it checked out. During your exam, Dr. Woodruff will take a close look at the tooth and let you know whether a crown is the right fix — or if a simpler treatment will do the job.
With good care, same-day ceramic crowns typically last 10 to 15 years, and many patients enjoy them for even longer. Their lifespan depends on things like the location of the tooth, your bite, and how well you keep up with brushing, flossing, and regular checkups.
Caring for a crown is just like caring for your natural teeth: brush twice a day, floss daily, and keep up with your regular dental visits. It's also a good idea to avoid chewing on very hard foods (like ice or hard candy) to help your crown last as long as possible.
Many dental insurance plans cover a portion of crown costs, especially when the crown is needed for a health reason rather than a cosmetic one. Coverage varies by plan, so our team is happy to help you check your benefits and walk through your financing options before treatment.
Yes — same-day crowns work well for front teeth too. Because they're custom milled from tooth-colored ceramic, we can match the shape and shade closely to your natural teeth for a result that blends in seamlessly with your smile.
